Duo Litanei
Duo Litanei is formed by Hugo Paiva - a Portuguese cellist, and the pianist Mrika Sefa, originally from Kosovo.
Although both of them studied in Switzerland at the same time, they did not meet there. They met quite coincidentally, due to an inconvenient situation days before a concert that Mrika had scheduled with another cellist in Porto, without previously knowing each-other. Right in the first rehearsal the two elements of the duo felt an indispensable need to continue working with each-other. |
Even though they followed different musical paths, when on stage, the two elements
of the duo unite while sharing the same sensitivity and joy towards playing chamber music. What characterizes the duo is the absolute devotion to the music they play. Hugo and Mrika have worked with renowned musicians, such as: Marc Coppey, Peter Bruns, Christophe Coin, Christian Giger, Caspar Frantz, Emmanuelle Bertrand, Paulo Gaio Lima, Miguel Borges Coelho, Maria de Macedo, etc. and have played in various concert halls in Germany, Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, among others. |
